SERVICE INFORMATION
Descriptions, photographs, videos, repair methods, pricing examples, estimated timelines, and other information displayed on this website are for general reference. Every swimming pool, fiberglass structure, step system, and repair situation is different. Final repair recommendations, pricing, materials, and procedures depend on an on-site evaluation and the conditions found at the time of service.
ESTIMATES AND PRICING
Prices shown on StepDoctors.com do not constitute a binding quote unless specifically identified in a written estimate or agreement provided by Step Doctors of the Carolinas. Additional damage, concealed conditions, structural problems, water intrusion, previous repairs, or other conditions found during the repair process may affect the final scope and price of the work.
FIBERGLASS AND GELCOAT REPAIRS
Fiberglass and gelcoat repairs involve existing materials whose age, condition, previous repairs, chemical exposure, UV exposure, moisture content, structural movement, and original manufacturing process are outside the control of Step Doctors of the Carolinas. Exact color, texture, gloss, or finish matching between new and existing materials is not guaranteed.
CONCEALED CONDITIONS
Some damage or deterioration may exist behind fiberglass, beneath steps, inside walls, under decking, or in other areas that are not visible during the initial inspection. Step Doctors of the Carolinas is not responsible for concealed conditions that could not reasonably be identified before work began.
WEBSITE PHOTOS AND RESULTS
Before-and-after photographs, videos, testimonials, and examples shown on StepDoctors.com represent individual projects. They do not guarantee identical results on another swimming pool or repair.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective Date: August 12, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of StepDoctors.com and services provided by Step Doctors of the Carolinas. By using this website, submitting a request for service, accepting an estimate, or authorizing work, you agree to the applicable terms below.
-
SERVICES
Step Doctors of the Carolinas provides fiberglass swimming pool and step inspection, repair, restoration, structural fiberglass repair, gelcoat repair and refinishing, and related services.
The exact scope of work for each project will be stated in the customer's written estimate, invoice, work order, or service agreement.
-
ESTIMATES AND PRICING
Estimates are based on conditions visible or reasonably identifiable at the time of inspection. Unless stated otherwise in writing, an estimate does not include concealed damage or additional work found after repairs begin.
If additional damage or unforeseen conditions are found, Step Doctors of the Carolinas will advise the customer when practical before performing work outside the agreed scope.
Pricing displayed on StepDoctors.com is informational unless specifically identified as a binding written quote.
-
ESTIMATE VALIDITY
Unless otherwise stated on the written estimate, estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Pricing and scheduling are subject to change after the estimate expires.
-
PAYMENT
Payment terms will appear on the customer's estimate, invoice, or service agreement.
The customer is responsible for paying all amounts due according to the agreed payment schedule. Deposits, progress payments, or final payments may be required depending on the size and scope of the project.
-
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the swimming pool, equipment, electrical service, water supply, and work area as required to perform the authorized work.
The customer is responsible for informing Step Doctors of the Carolinas about known leaks, structural problems, previous repairs, coatings, modifications, chemical issues, or other conditions relevant to the work.
-
WATER LEVEL AND POOL CONDITION
The swimming pool must be maintained at the water level and condition requested by Step Doctors of the Carolinas before scheduled work.
The work area must be reasonably accessible and safe. Excessive debris, contamination, unsafe conditions, or failure to prepare the pool as requested may result in rescheduling or additional charges.
-
WEATHER AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Fiberglass and gelcoat work depends on suitable surface, temperature, moisture, humidity, and weather conditions.
Step Doctors of the Carolinas reserves the right to postpone or stop work when conditions might affect worker safety, proper curing, adhesion, or the quality of the finished repair.
Weather-related delays do not constitute a failure to perform the contracted work.
-
FIBERGLASS AND STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
Fiberglass damage sometimes extends beyond the area visible from the surface. Grinding, sanding, cutting, or removal of damaged material may reveal additional cracking, delamination, voids, water intrusion, deterioration, or structural damage.
Work outside the original scope may require additional authorization and charges.
-
GELCOAT AND COLOR MATCHING
Step Doctors of the Carolinas uses professional fiberglass and gelcoat repair methods appropriate for the specific project.
Existing pool surfaces change over time from sunlight, chemicals, minerals, staining, aging, previous repairs, and normal wear. Exact color, texture, gloss, or appearance matching between new gelcoat and an existing surface is not guaranteed.
Reasonable efforts will be made to produce a professional finished appearance.
-
CONCEALED CONDITIONS
Step Doctors of the Carolinas is not responsible for concealed defects or damage that could not reasonably be identified before work began.
Examples include damage behind fiberglass, underneath steps, inside walls, beneath decking, around plumbing penetrations, or within previously repaired areas.
-
PREVIOUS REPAIRS
Previous repairs performed by another contractor, property owner, manufacturer, or other party may affect the condition or performance of subsequent repairs.
Additional work required because of improper previous repairs, incompatible materials, contamination, or concealed damage may result in additional charges.
-
WARRANTIES
Any warranty provided by Step Doctors of the Carolinas will be stated in writing on the applicable estimate, invoice, warranty document, or service agreement.
A warranty applies only to the specific work performed by Step Doctors of the Carolinas and does not automatically cover unrelated areas, existing damage, structural movement, plumbing failures, chemical damage, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or work performed by others.
-
PHOTOGRAPHS AND DOCUMENTATION
Step Doctors of the Carolinas may photograph or record the work area before, during, and after service for documentation, quality control, training, warranty records, and business records.
Customer-identifying information will not intentionally be displayed publicly without appropriate permission.
-
SCHEDULING
Appointment dates and completion dates are estimates unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
Weather, material availability, concealed damage, site conditions, emergencies, equipment issues, and other circumstances outside reasonable control may affect scheduling.
-
CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
Customers should provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Cancellation, rescheduling, mobilization, or service-call fees may apply when disclosed in the customer's estimate, work order, or service agreement.
-
PROPERTY ACCESS
By scheduling service and providing access to the property, the customer represents that they are the property owner or have authorization from the property owner to approve access and the requested work.
-
LIMITATION OF WEBSITE INFORMATION

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
